Like many of you the past few years I've jumped online to order flower arrangements, heard Beck pushing Vermont Teddy Bears and Pajama-Grams, and taken that Valentine's trip to that destination out of town. This year we're staying in Burlington and I've come up with a few ideas for you to treat your sweet this Valentine's Day right here in our home town.
#5. Local flowers. Fresh and delivered.
Go traditional with roses or switch things up and add some color. Either way, Burlington has several options for fresh flowers including Zaiser's, Petal Pushers, Burlington in Bloom, Ritters and more.
#5. Go big or go home.
Some of the best gifts are those you plan on enjoying yourself. Check out a sometimes forgotten gem in our community, Keystone. I know these ideas are a little more pricey but some years it's good to splurge. Take a look at their full-line of hot tubs, pool tables, fireplaces and whirlpool tubs.
#3. Jewelry done right... with a beer.
Buying jewelry is a pain. We don't know what to get and everything we like costs twice as much as we thought it would. This year, go to Becker's Jewelers. Every jewelry commercial you see talks about how their store has jewelry experts. Becker's has wife experts. And, they serve you alcohol while you shop. SOLD!
#2. Dinner, the way it should be.
It's Valentine's Day. Take her to Martini's. Just do it. If you haven't been there since new Chef Dom took over your in for a treat. Best service, best view, best food, delicious drinks... what more do you want? She wants to go there, order the Ribeye and you'll thank me.
#1. Let her relax at Qi, the spa.
Qi, in the PZAZZ! complex is a full-service spa that offers haircuts, styling, facials, body treatments and of course... massages. As one of the well trained massage therapists at Qi once told me, a half hour massage is just a tease and an hour and a half seems just a little to long. Get your honey the hour and be a hero this Valentine's Day.
